Children's Pony Club
Pippin Equestrian is a Pony Club Centre affiliated to the National Pony Club. Becoming a centre member allows children who do not own their own ponies to become part of the Nationas Pony Club and take part in inter-branch competitions, earn badges and lots more.
The Pony Club offers its’ members an achievement badge scheme which covers a wide range of pony and countryside knowledge. Members sew their badges onto their club fleeces or sweatshirts. Progressive awards (Bronze, Silver and Gold) which include a riding section are taken whilst members are preparing for Pony Club Efficiency Tests which are recognised worldwide.
We run a ‘Pony Pals’ Club on Saturdays and Sundays and during the school holidays. As part of the club children learn about stable management and work towards their special interest badges. During the school holidays they take their tests and, if successful, are awarded their badges. Pony Club members are also invited to attend our Pony Club Camp during the summer holidays.
Our Pony Club Camps are non-residential, cover all aspects of stable-management and learning in a fun way. Many of our members now regularly compete at local competitions and the Pippin Pony Club members are always in the ribbons at local pony club events.
Our Quiz teams have been exceptional and we have qualified for the National Finals two years running – coming 2nd on both occasions by just 1 point.
