Children
There are many different activities for children at Pippin Equestrian. We aim to make learning fun and exciting and there is lots of opportunity to make friends (Four legged and Two!)
Learning to ride
Children learning to ride start with a Tots Trot, ½ hour private lessons or a lead rein group lesson until they are able to keep their ponies trotting and steer at the same time! Then they join a group of the same ability and age. We endeavour to ensure the same instructor is available as often as possible to allow for continuity and a structured learning programme.
The Experienced Rider
We cater for all abilities of rider. Those that are experienced have the opportunity to go on long rides through the Dorset countryside, take specialised Cross-Country, Show-jumping, or dressage lessons as well as compete on one of our quality riding school ponies.
Pony Pals Club
This club is run on Saturdays and Sundays and during the school holidays. Each session lasts for 3 hours and includes a formal riding lesson, formal stable management lecture and the opportunity to help around the yard or brush your favourite pony.
‘Own a Pony days’
These run during the school holidays. A minimum of 2 hours riding and supervised stable management sessions allow children to look after their favourite pony for the day. We also operate a pony leasing scheme for those who wish to look after a pony on a long term basis.
